• 21 Years of age or older
• Valid California Driver’s License
• Clean driving record
• High School Graduate
• 60 Hours of Instructor Training
• Occupational Licensing Physical
• Live Scan
• Written DMV exam

Prior to employment the applicant must obtain a Driving Instructor License from the California Department of Motor Vehicles. The DMV has certain requirements that must be met before an applicant can take the written exam and obtain their Driving Instructor License. Premier Driving School can not hire applicants until they are licensed by DMV.

Premier Driving School holds a license with DMV to provide the 60 hour Driving Instructor Training Course to our applicants. Training is provided, at no cost, to the individual applying for the Driving Instructor Position with Premier Driving School, but is not paid training. However, some community programs may provide financial assistance or hourly wages while you are completing the training program.

The cost of the Occupational Physical and Live Scan are to be paid by the individual applying for the Driving Instructor Position with Premier Driving School.
